Racing Russia - Moscow to Vladiwostok by Bike
 

In Triathlon-TV hatte *Jo* Ende Juni schon von seiner aberwitzigen Idee berichtet mit seinem Freund Thomas John am RedBull Trans-Siberian Extreme Radrennen teilzunehmen.

Inzwischen ist das Rennen gestartet. Es nehmen 5 (fünf) Solofahrer und 3 (drei) Zweierteams teil. Und die beiden Deutschen sind tatsächlich dabei.

Man kann sich bei Facebook und über eine App (Stichwort RedBull TransSiberian Extreme) über den Rennverlauf informieren.

Auf der RedBull-Webseite gibts ebenfalls umfangreiche Informationen u.a. ein Live-Tracking.
Ein paar Daten zum Rennen:

The route goes through Kostroma, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Barabinsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Tulun, Irkutsk, Ulan-Ude, Chita, Svobodny, Obluchye, and Khabarovsk finishing in Vladivostok on the shore of the Pacific Ocean. The participants are going to cross 4 climate and 7 time zones, covering a total of 58 km of ascent and spending more than 3 weeks on the road.
